LOFF RULES & TERMS

This agreement is between you (the filmmaker)
and Lebanese Outdoors Film Festival (LOFF) s.a.r.l.

LOFF welcomes films that celebrate the outdoors in all its forms — from sports and adventure to nature, environmental stories, and human connection with the natural world. We encourage diverse storytelling styles including documentary, fiction, experimental, or animation, as long as the theme aligns with our core focus on outdoor life.

We do not accept:

• Commercials or promotional videos
• Videos not tied to an outdoor/sports story
• Content containing hate speech, discrimination, or gratuitous violence

• Only films submitted before July 7, 2025, are eligible for LOFF’s 4th edition.
• Some films may be reviewed and granted a brief extension to finalize their edits.
• We do not require premiere status. Previously screened films are welcome.
• if your film is not in English or Arabic, please provide english subtitles.

Deliverables

To be considered, filmmakers must submit the following materials:

MEDIA KIT I

• 1 Poster – 1080x1350 px (4:5 aspect ratio), 72 dpi (RGB) & 300 dpi (CMYK)
• 5 High-Resolution Images – depicting scenes from the film (1.91:1 or 4:5 aspect ratio)
• 2 Teasers – Maximum 15 seconds each, 1.91:1 or 4:5 aspect ratio

MEDIA KIT II

• Trailer – Full HD 1080p (.mp4, .mov), 16:9 aspect ratio, 24fps or 25fps 

Final Film

• Earlybird Deadline: May 26, 2025
• Deadline: July 7, 2025
  Full HD 1080p (.mp4, .mov)
  Aspect Ratio: 16:9
  24fps or 25fps

Selection Process 

• Selection is based on originality, storytelling, technical quality, and relevance to LOFF’s themes.
• Final decisions will be communicated by August 7, 2025. 

* If your film is accepted to the LOFF 4TH EDITION, you grant LOFF a nonexclusive license to screen and promote it.

* This includes:

• Once in-person at LOFF 4TH EDITION (September, 2025, in Lebanon).
• 0 to 7 times in-person at small venues across Lebanon as part of the LOFF TOUR (2025–2026).

* LOFF may share a link to your film, which you must provide, on their website for up to one year after the event.

* LOFF may also use short clips, stills, or trailers from your film for promotional purposes, including social media, press, and festival-related materials.

* If you want to opt-out of any screenings, you must inform LOFF in writing before submitting your film.

* LOFF will seek your permission for any digital online screening of your film.

* LOFF does not pay screening fees or licensing fees for selected films. As an independent festival, we are dedicated to promoting outdoor culture and supporting filmmakers through visibility and community engagement rather than financial compensation.

* By submitting your film, you acknowledge and accept that no screening fees will be paid, including for the main event or any additional screenings as part of the LOFF TOUR.

* You confirm that you own or have written permission for all copyrighted material in your film (music, images, videos, graphics, etc.).

* If any copyright infringement occurs, you are responsible for any legal claims and will cover all costs if LOFF faces legal action.

* You confirm that you have permission from all recognizable people in your film to use their image.

*LOFF may also use short clips, stills, or trailers from your film for promotional purposes, including social media, press, and festival-related materials.

* If your film is already publicly available online, LOFF may share the link on its website after the event to help promote your work and increase its visibility.

* LOFF values the people behind the films just as much as the stories themselves. We warmly invite selected filmmakers to attend the festival, participate in Q&A sessions, and connect with our audience and community.

* While we are unable to cover travel or accommodation costs, we will do our best to support your participation locally and promote your presence through our channels. 

* You agree to protect LOFF from any legal claims (e.g., copyright issues, privacy complaints, defamation) related to your film.
